A LITTLE BIT ABOUT CATHY

Hi, I’m Cathy! I’m a videographer based out of Wichita, Kansas and Kansas City, Kansas. I enjoy creating branding and lifestyle videos and specialize in wedding videography.

My Why

I’m a bit obsessed with filming everything! I grew up around cameras because my dad is a photographer, but he documented his kids lives in home movies. It wasn’t until I was in college that I came to appreciate them. There were a lot of moments I didn’t remember and even more that brought tears and laughter to my family. It’s a special time when we all get to sit down and watch them together.

In the past I’ve lost family members who had a big impact on my life, so the home movies have become ever more important to us. When a family member or friend is lost, we tend to want to looks for things that will remind us of them. The video that we capture are the closest we get to seeing them move and hearing the sound of voice again. That is why capturing life on film is so important to me. At the end of the day, photos and videos are all we’ll have to remember our loved ones by and can be our legacy to pass down for generations.

Filming Approach

I want to make sure I capture your special day just as it is. Yes, there are moments where I will pose you to get those magical, slow mo shots, but for most of the day I try to stay out of the way and capture all the real, authentic moments as they are. I always have a second shooter on the wedding day and most likely, this will be Andrew. He’s my other half and we are quite the dynamic duo.
